How do you treat a sting from a caterpillar? I think it is a buck moth caterpillar.

Well first of all if the stinger is still in there your gonna have to take it out. then just treat it like a regular puncture, by cleaning the area daily, with anti-bacterial soap and water, and then putting antabiotic ointment on it covered with a bandage. its going to be swollen, red and soar for a while but if it looks like the wound its getting worse see your doctor asap

  • I didn%26#039;t know caterpillars could sting haha. They have insect sting relief towlettes. You should buy some and rub it with that. They work miracles if its an itchy sting or if its painful like a bee. You should keep it in a band-aid after that and make sure it doesn%26#039;t get infected.
  • Maybe phone a docter office and ask if it appropriate to come in for that if not do as the ansers say above =]
  • well.... i would go see the doctor only because you actually got stung and it a buck moth, some of them are piousness
