Treating soldering iron burns? How do you treat burns from a soldering iron?
The burns first turned white when they touched it (and still are white). They tingle a bit at first and when I put my fingers in water they really started to tingle and burn, ALOT! What should I do???

ive done this quite a few times, i usually just apply aloe vera, and a bandage, if it blisters, dont burst them.

as the injury is white, i think you might have a partial thickness burn, seeing as it doesnt cover much of your body, it shouldnt be serious, however, partial thickness is prone to infection, so cover the wound in a sterile dressing (fancy words for a plaster)

I put the aloe vera on the burn and no more pain.

  • Use an antiseptic spray that contains Aloe. It will soothe the skin %26amp; take the burning sensation away. Neosporin is also a great antiseptic cream to use %26amp; it reduces scarring.
  • keep them in cold water until they stop hurting, but no more than 20 minutes at a time.
  • Pour vinegar over it, if the skin isn%26#039;t broken. Works great!
