Thanks so much for the mature, serious answers. I%26#039;ll be looking into spider bites, not vampire bites or zombifying.

Go to the ER if it persists. Could be a spider bite, or a hornet sting. 100% 1 VoteOther Answers (6)

It sounds like a spider bite to me. Although the majority of spider bites are not fatal, you should still see a doctor as soon as possible. Until you can get to a doctor, you should wash the area in which you were bitten with soap and water and put an ice pack on it. You may want to apply some Benadryl cream to the area (since most severe reactions to spider bites are allergic in nature) and do not scratch or rub the area.
My husband got a spider bite a few years back. It looked really bad and he was running a fever. (He still went to work--that guy is driven!) Anyway, my grandma, who is a retired RN, was in town and we drove up to his workplace and administered first aid during his lunch hour. We cleaned the wound, applied the Benadryl and then put an ice pack on it. He also got some Tylenol for the fever. By the end of the lunch hour, the inflammation and fever were going down. (By the end of the day, he was all better!) His spider bite wasn%26#039;t blue-ish, though, so I highly recommend seeing a doctor for yours. Until you get there, though, a little first aid is better than nothing. Good luck!
Oh, and for the two %26quot;answers%26quot; involving zombies and vampires: your remarks might be better appreciated in the Mythology %26amp; Folklore section. This is the First Aid section; people who ask questions here are generally very concerned about a health-related issue and don%26#039;t need their time wasted with immature remarks about mythological beings. You may think it%26#039;s funny to make light of other people%26#039;s concerns, but I%26#039;ll bet when something like that happens to you, you take it very seriously and then can%26#039;t understand why no one is being nice to you. The lack of empathy some people exhibit disgusts me. 0% 0 Votes
