Cut my finger tip Help? today I was cutting a tomatoe and me bieng the idiot i am i accidentally cut my fingertip on my thumb. the cut runs from the tip of my finger on the left side halfway to the middle of the tip. the pary can be flapped but it isnt such a large peace. It was beeding but i covered it with gauze and taped it for bout 20minutes and now i double bandages it. the cut is bleeding alittle but i dont wanna go to the docto. what should i do?

Hydrogen peroxide is no longer indicated because it hurts healthy tissue as well as bacteria. Better is to clean it with soap and water and use iodine ( mercurochrome is probably not available any longer ). Use a styptic pencil if the bleeding continues, bandage so that it %26quot;breathes%26quot; and, if it doesn%26#039;t get infected, you can avoid a trip to the doctor. 100% 1 Vote

make sure to clean it with hyrdrogen peroxide go to the store and buy some butterfly bandaids just make sure not to get it infected, at night dont cover the cut with anything just put the butterfly bandaid things on so your cut can breath and heal faster 0% 0 Votes

it sounds like u should go to the doctor...but if u dont want to put antiseptic on and bandage it...dont disturb it for a few hours otherwise u may damage and clots that are forming to stop the bleeding. Hope it gets better =] 0% 0 Votes
you really should go to a doctor b/c it could be infefted but you should wash your hands with soap and water then put anticeptic on it replace the old bandages and you should be ok 0% 0 Votes

just clean it with cold water n put a bandage on it
