Reaction to Cortizone Injection?

Reaction to Cortizone Injection? Ok...there is NO nice way to ask this question lol. I%26#039;ve had a spot on my skin in the groin area %26amp; saw the doc about it today...he said it was a common irritation probably from an insect bite or something, anyway he gave me a cortizone shot directly in the spot on the skin (ouch).

Well that was this morning around 10am, around 7pm I started feeling some kinda sharp pain uummm.....%26quot;downstairs%26quot; and now I have a constant dull pain. Not bad, but its irritating.

Could this be a reaction to cortizone?

its common for a cortizone shot what you need to do is place a hot rag on the spot that is hurting if it becomes bothersome call your doctor

• It could be an irritation to the injection or there could be an infection please go back and see your doctor
• Easiest thing to do (%26amp;smartest) is simply call the doctors office where you were treated...they will gladly speak with you %26amp; put your mind at ease...just ask the reception to connect you to the nurse %26#039;(state you were a patient just treated there), or ask to speak to the doctor...mention you are concerned that you may be having an adverse reaction to a cortisone injection the Dr gave you...they will be quick to get your call answered, even if the Dr calls you back.
  As far as someone outr here giving you a diagnosis...not a good idea...don%26#039;t rely on medical accuracy out here...you can also call your local pharmacist, speak directly to one by request, then mention your concern about having an adverse reaction to a cortisone injection the doctor gave you...be accurate when you got injection timeframe %26amp; detail info...they will advise more accurately then someone out here.
