Now if i touch anything with that finger i can feel the skin seperating and it starts to bleed a bit. I%26#039;m currently typing with it up in the air lol.... but when i slipp up and hit a key with it, i can feel it opening...
to give a measurement on the depth of the cut i%26#039;d say... its..1/8th of an inch deep...would the liquid bandage be enough for this?

If you can%26#039;t get away to a doctor, you can do what my mom did. Many summers ago she slipped on a desk and sliced her leg open on an exposed screw. The cut was about a foot long or so and wrapped all the way around her calf. It was VERY bad. Anyway, she got stitches, and the doctors underestimated how long she needed the stitches, and removed a few. The skin separated, so obviously it wasn%26#039;t time, so the nurse said she should keep the skin closed with tape-- either scotch tape, or medical, I don%26#039;t remember for sure, but she used the tape to keep the flaps closed until it healed completely.I would suggest to keep it bandaged while cleaning it regularly for a few days, to make sure there%26#039;s no infection and then possibly using tape as a form of stitch. I would suggest medical, as it%26#039;s softer. Also, try splinting your finger. If the flaps open when you bend it or try to use it, keeping it absolutely still will help with healing. Depending on which finger it is, you can tape the finger to the one next to it [to act as a splint,] or you can take a popsicle stick and shorten it so it fits along your finger nicely, and tape it at the base and at the tip. Again, be sure to clean it.
I hope I helped a bit. 100% 1 Vote

I cut myself in June with a new knife. It was a terrible ordeal. Turns out, I cut a nerve and then needed surgery. Horrible and expensive. Then I needed physical therapy. Anyway, I would recommend seeing a doctor ASAP.

put a butterfly bandage on it to close it up, put gauze around that and keep pressure on it. the bleeding wont stop unless you keep pressure on it. dont use a liquid bandage..

it is okay if it has clotted and started to scab, but if it is still open and edges are separated you might need a couple of stitches, i would definatley get it looked at, you dont want an infection. but if you want to hold off for a while and see, clean it well with soap and water, wrap it tight and keep it elevated....
