It is midnite here so nothing is open! i think hes babying himself more then anything. but we are trying a few of the ideas here
yes, use ice. Put the ice in a wet cloth and place it over the burned area. and NO do not use butter
If the burned area is larger than a quarter, you need to see a doctor. How old is he?
Whatever you do do not use any food product to sooth burn, a cold towel will ease the pain. And keep it very clean.
put butter on it and let the area breathe...dont cover it with anything.

I checked the medical book and if the burn is larger than a quarter on a child, then you need to go to a doctor.(or if the child is under 1 yr. ) Cool it with cold water but NOT ice.If it%26#039;s blistered then it is a second degree burn. If it gets any pus in it then go to doctor. After 24 hrs. wash it with soap and water and pat dry Then cover with gauze, lightly..After 2 or 3 days put a broken vitaminE capsule on it. Good luck
My mum puts raw slices of potato or onion on the freshly burnt area- it soothes and doesn%26#039;t turn into a blister. I dunno if it ll work for blisters that have already formed though, but it definitely helps for fresh burns.
The only advice I will give you is to go to the clinic, or call a friend or relative who can come over, look at it, and make a better judgement call. I have no idea from your story how severe it is, and I don%26#039;t want to assume without looking at it. I am concerned that it has blistered, and you should be too.
Do not use butter! Butter is an oil/fat, and will only worsen the problem. It may feel cool to begin with, but it is not advisable.
If you don%26#039;t have an aloe vera plant, then you should go to the nearest drug store and buy Hibiclens, it is a soap that will soothe and clean the burn; burns are easily infected and this is better and milder than regular soap. Top it off with some sulfur cream, that heals it and keeps it from hurting, then a band aid. If it doesn%26#039;t get better see a doctor. Anything cold will make it blister, together they may be around $25.00, I hope he feels better and I hope this helped.
I burned my hand really badly when I was 14 and this what the E.R. told me to get, plus I used to work in a drug store.
Ok we learned this in my girl scout troop (I%26#039;ve earned up to my silver award) DO NOT put butter or vasaline or any other greasy thing on it, it%26#039;ll keep the heat in and make it worse. Put ice with a towel around it on the burn, keep it clean and put a bandage on it but don%26#039;t make the bandage to tight. Keep it clean and ice it (don%26#039;t get it to cold).
My girl scout first aid training.
Blisters are not a good sign, he may really be in pain. Give him some tylenol. Do not use anything greasy on it, it keeps it from breathing. Try vinegar with a little water in it. I would be seriously considering taking him to the ER, usually bubbling means a 2nd degree burn.
peace
