It%26#039;s scar tissue that has built up around the stud. I would have a Doctor look at it to be sure. If it doesn%26#039;t hurt and there is nothing in it and it%26#039;s not red you should be OK. 40% 2 VotesOther Answers (7)

I don%26#039;t know why you guys pierce your ears, and then do not take care of it as you are instructed and you know you should. You are in trouble now, so then get yourself to a Doctor and have it taken care of , and stop piercing and tattooing it is not healthy for your skin. What do you want to do ? Look Pretty? Now you know! Merry Christmas

You may have developed a little cyst in there. I%26#039;ve heard that happens alot when you let your holes close up. There are some signs to look for for an infection: Is it red? Is it hot to the touch? Does it hurt? I don%26#039;t think you have an infection, but you should go to the dr%26#039;s to make sure. I still get a little ball in one of my holes that I let close over, I clean it with a little alcohol and it goes away.

Man I%26#039;m not sure exactly what it is, but I%26#039;ve had them and I know some go away and some never do. The ones in my ear lasted a couple of years and went away. That was about ten years ago. Bottom line is I wouldn%26#039;t freak out about it cause whatever it is it%26#039;s not a big deal.
