Beware, I know in NJ, most ambulance companies want you to be an EMT for a year first before riding for an ambulance company. Buts that%26#039;s NJ which is one of the few states with both volunteer and paid EMS. Seach online, such as Monster.com or search on the web for ambulance services in CA/LA. 0% 0 Votes

as an EMT-P i recommend that you find the one that has the best reputation in the area that you want to work. it is a fun field to be in but the company that you work for needs to be highly respected. do some homework on each one that meet that level and then decide what you want in terms of benefits. Other good places for EMT-Bs are the amusement parks like Knotts, Disneyland and the Zoo. They all hire EMTs for BLS care until medics arrive. 0% 0 Votes
