Does anyone drink Mangosteen and find it has helped their eyesight and general health significantly or at all? My Doctor of TCM recommends it but it is a version that has to be ordered on the internet with a sign up plan that I interpret as a multi-tier marketing item. Several brands are sold that way and claim to be the purist, most healthful, beneficial for dreadful maladies, etc. It is hugely expensive for a juice. They also sell a version in the Health food store that is just Mangosteen without other juices in the blend, 18 oz. for $23 or something like that. So what do you folks have to tell me about Mangosteen juice or capsules for that matter. Thank you.

Mangosteen is a very high potency antioxidant, which can help defend all the cells in your body (including your eyes) against free-radical damage.... but you don%26#039;t need to sign up for a Multi-Level Marketing company (I%26#039;ve been through it... it%26#039;s not worth it unless you sell a LOT of it) or pay $23 a bottle for it.
There are several good quality companies that sell it for much less than that... you just have to shop around to find them. Just make sure the company has a good rating with either the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia), as those are the main quality assurance organizations (USP is for the U.S., GMP is for the U.S. and worldwide).
The juice and the capsules have the same thing in them, but you get a physically larger quantity from the juice than the capsules (which is why it%26#039;s so much more expensive per dose) Personal experience and I%26#039;m a Product Specialist for a vitamin company 100% 4 Votes

I drink Mangosteen juice. It can be purchased at most health food stores. It has been found to be more effective than chemotherapy in killing some cancer cells. I have a friend who was in bad health, and he says it has saved his life. He was bleeding from the rectum, losing weight, couldn%26#039;t eat, etc. He started drinking the juice and his problems resolved within a few weeks. He owes his life to Mangosteen juice. (he does not believe in doctors, and would not go to one, but he thinks he might have had cancer). Another friend healed his skin lesions that were black (???) with topical mangosteen treatments. My personal experience with mangosteen fruit juice has been wonderful. I get mine from a company called Xango and its $20ish per bottle as you say. My arthritis that i had from a horse accident has completely returned to normal. it was so bad i could brush my knuckle against a wall and it would hurt for minutes.
My brother takes it for his hyperactive issues and he has aspergers syndrome and it helps him concentrate and gives us both a general immune boost.

One more thing: the issue is purity that is true, but what Xango does is it uses the whole fruit: outer layer (filled with antioxidants not found in just the squishy part), the stem and the inner fruit itself. The outside is so bitter it has to be sweetened by other fruit juices.
