If there is no infection then the best way to cure a bed sore is daily cleaning and bandage changing, making sure she is on a program to change her positioning in bed, and to apply regranex...expensive but effective. as gross as it sounds it is a great a way to get rid of dead tissue are medical maggots, or to stimulate healing in wound without dead (black) tissue are medical/sterile leaches. Old school, but very safe and very effective. medical professional 67% 2 VotesOther Answers (4)

1.Herbalists often recommend the use of aloe vera, which is very effective against sores. It is applied topically in ointment, gel or cream form.
2.Topical calendula cream soothes and heals wounds wonderfully.
3.These sores are usually on the buttocks, heels and elbows of bedridden patients. Turning the patient as often as possible can prevent the sores.
Keep the skin dry, clean, and the blood circulation going.
A massage oil to use before (and after) sores develop is:
20 ml carrier oil - such as evening primrose oil
4 drops wheat germ oil
3 drops chamomile or geranium oil
2 drops lavender oil
2 drops tea tree oil
2 drops frankincense oil
All the ingredients are mixed together and massaged very gently into affected areas. If you are faced with a weeping bedsore, do not apply the massage oil. 33% 1 Vote -
